Dr. Ammar Omanovic is a highly qualified and experienced German board-certified physician with over a decade of experience as a Consultant in Internal Medicine and a Specialist in Cardiology.

Since 2019, Dr. Omanovic has served as a senior physician and continues to pursue advanced training in Cardiology with a focus on non-invasive and preventative medicine. His expertise extends to rhythmology, and he regularly performs Pacemaker and Defibrillator implantations and interrogations.

In Cardiology, he is proficient in Echocardiography (including Stress Echocardiography and Transesophageal Echocardiography with 3D and Contrast Enhanced), Exercise treadmill test and Spiroergometric, Cardioversion, Holter monitoring (ECG), Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, and the evaluation of using Table Tilt Test. He also has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of a varied range of cardiovascular conditions, including angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, coronary heart disease, atherosclerosis, heart failure, arrhythmias, and several other disorders. In Internal Medicine, Dr. Omanovic's skills and abilities include functional diagnostics, including sonography (abdomen, thyroid, blood vessels); abdominal Contrast-Enhanced Ultrasound (CEUS); endoscopic diagnostic (gastroscopy, colonoscopy, and bronchoscopy); ultrasound-guided biopsies of the abdomen; PleurX catheter placement (pleural and peritoneal); thoracocentesis and chest drain insertion; percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG); pulmonary function diagnostics; diagnosis and treatment of high blood pressure; preventive examinations; polygraphy (screening for sleep apnea); and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring.
