Dr Inês Isabel Ferreira Barros is a well experienced Specialist Endocrinologist based in Dubai at International Modern Hospital with over 7 years of experience.

She holds an Integrated Master's degree in Medicine from Nova Medical School in Lisbon, Portugal, which she completed in 2015. She later completed her residency program in Endocrinology and Nutrition at Braga Hospital, Portugal, under the guidance of renowned professors of endocrinology. She then went on to collaborate with the University of Minho, Portugal, where she taught and mentored undergraduate students in the Endocrinology Unit, as well as worked with the Clinical Academic Centre in Portugal as a Clinical Research Investigator. She joined Trofa Saúde as a Specialist Endocrinologist in 2018 and relocated to Dubai in 2022.

Dr Barros is deeply committed to providing personalised, high-quality care to all her patients. She ensures that her patients fully understand their condition and treatment options and develops management plans based on mutual understanding.

She has specialist expertise in the treatment and management of thyroid disorders, diabetes, parathyroid and calcium disorders, vitamin D deficiency, pituitary diseases, gonadal disorders and obesity, adrenal disorders and endocrine disorders in pregnancy. She also has expertise in paediatric endocrinology, including growth hormone disorders and puberty disorders.
