I went to see Professor Hanna and I was thoroughly impressed with the level of care I received. From the moment I walked in, the staff was warm and welcoming, making me feel at ease. The environment was clean, comfortable, and I had my coffee and biscuit while waiting my turn. Efficient and insightful. My concern was that I would be encouraged to have surgery but I was rightly recommended to try physio first.

HCA ancillary staff were excellent and friendly, putting me at ease. The one exception is that despite being fully covered by private medical insurance (incl pre-authorisation codes and competing multiple online forms and confirming details) the HCA administrative/ reception staff on arrival were overly focused on (and their primary priority is to) obtain credit card details and associated authorisation for extra procedures and tests which go beyond the scope of the referral and pre-authorisation in case suggested. The requested authorisation is open-ended and requested at a point when patients are vulnerable. The HCA admin staff were unable to explain why authorisation was required in my circumstances with full insurance coverage - all they could manage was a weak “it’s just our process”.

Highly competent and dedicated staff whom make you feel safe to discuss anything openly. Their expertise is a fantastic attribute to the team. I felt understood and able to explain everything without feeling rushed and dismissed⁰

Receptionists can sometimes be a little brusque, but otherwise very good overall.
