The staff were very professional and friendly, made me feel at ease and welcome. My appointment was with Dr Shyamalan at 1.30pm, but a room wasn't available for my procedure until after 2pm....so a small wait time. Dr Shyalaman did keep me fully informed on timings and offered us drinks etc. The procedure was carried out with full details of what was happening all the way through, I really liked this. As a nervous patient it was good to have conversation.

Throughout my hospital stay, including my pre and post operative appointments, I have found all staff to be professional, informative, caring, sensitive and friendly, which put me at ease throughout the whole process. I found the South Bank Hospital environment to be pleasant and conducive to a speedy recovery.

I have nothing but praise for all of the staff at Midland Eye, from the receptionists to the surgeons and their medical assistants. I have regular treatment for macular degeneration-initially from Mr Sivaraj-who also identified the need for and carried out two cataract operations. All appointments were made promptly and I was fully informed about the procedures. These were performed precisely as arranged with excellent aftercare.

The hospital is clean and tidy, staff are all friendly and welcoming.
