I can’t recommend Mr Trikha enough to anyone planning surgery for Torn cartilage in the knee joint including meniscal tear or any other surgery for that matter. I was apprehensive as this was my first ever surgery but he reassured me and thoroughly explained the procedure and outcome which made me feel at ease. It’s been two weeks now since my surgery and my knee feels amazing and I can’t thank Mr Trikha enough - you are a super star in my eyes.

This how medicine ideally should work. A rapid, logical sequence of diagnosis and treatment, delivered in a very friendly manner, followed up promptly with a full explanatory letter.Many thanks, my experience couldn’t have been better.

Mr Stott was attentive when I was talking through my symptoms and very thorough in his explanation of my condition and the best treatment for it. I felt listened to and that the option for further discussion was available to me should I need it.

On the whole, a lovely consultant. The reason for the 4 stars was a very slight language barrier, and also explanation of surgery in recovery when still groggy from anaesthetic. Not his fault, just time restraints. Happy for him to perform surgery in the future, if needed?

Mr Bailey explained the best option for me. As I am young, he recommended a partial knee replacement and I was booked into Winchester hospital after being on the NHS waiting list for nearly a year. Mr Bailey visited me before and after the surgery and left me in the hands of the nurses and physios. I went home the following evening after being looked after very well. I saw the physio team at 2 weeks and 6 weeks post surgery to check how the exercises were going at home. I saw Mr Bailey at 3 months post surgery and he showed me the x-rays and explained again what had been done. Mr Bailey was friendly, professional and put me completely at ease at all times. The surgery has made a real difference to my mobility and I would be very happy for Mr Bailey to do the surgery on my second knee.

A very professional and delightful man, making us fully at ease. He informed us of all the details, and carried out a hugely successful operation, of which we are profoundly grateful.
