I can honestly say, Mr. Stephen Derbyshire has hands of gold!!! He did a wonderful job for me. I feel so blessed to know him and have Stephen as my doctor. He explained everything to me in a very clear manner. He was also kind, caring and friendly. All of the staff were great – they were helpful and kind. I am so glad I chose Mount Alvernia hospital and would highly recommend it to anyone.

During my search for an ENT Consultant, not only was I looking for an excellent surgeon, but also one who is kind and respectful towards their patients. After reading many reviews, these were just some of the reasons that Professor Lloyd stood out for me and I am glad that I made an appointment to see him about my ongoing ear problems. At my initial consultation, Professor Lloyd was very patient, taking time to listen to my history and after examining my ears, he diagnosed my condition quickly and set out a plan for me which included surgery. I was a little apprehensive about having surgery, however Professor Lloyd was sensitive to this and he was always happy to answer my questions and concerns. His exceptional, clear advice regarding the benefits and potential (minimal) risks of having the surgery helped me to make an informed decision and gave me the confidence I needed to go ahead. I had my operation almost 6 weeks ago at the Wilmslow Hospital and care I received was outstanding. The aftercare has also been excellent. My ear is recovering very well which has already had such a positive impact on my wellbeing. I feel very safe under Professor Lloyd’s care and his calm, reassuring manner will definitely help me to prepare for the surgery he may need to perform on my other ear in the future. He is a fantastic surgeon, professional and lovely to deal with. His PA Nicki Cory has also been nothing but friendly, helpful and very responsive to queries. Thank you.

Throughout the whole process Dr Fergie has been attentive and empathetic to my tonsillitis and sleep apnea problem and ensured I am comfortable with the process of tonsillectomy surgery. The speedy recovery after the surgery demonstrated his excellent surgical ability. I would highly recommend him.

I was really happy with Phoebe's appointment with Mr Wood. He took time to make Phoebe feel at ease and she enjoyed the appointment. He also took time to explain everything to me and to answer any questions.
