My hip operation was very successful, Mr Shah did a very good job on me and after committing myself to my physio, I was very quickly mobile and pain free. All staff at Spire were amazing. The explanations as to how things were to proceed were exactly what was needed as a patient. Had a full right hip replacement at age 50 in January 2024 after being diagnosed with AVN of the femoral head a couple years prior. Was told to get on with my life in 2021 and come back when it was bad enough and so I tried to push off as wasn’t keen to go through the hassle or pain . 4 months post op I am very happy with the results and have only positive things to say about Professor Field, his anaesthetist Dr Hussein and Zoe who runs the office super efficiently . Can honestly say pain post op wasn’t bad and didn’t need pain killers within a few days after the op . Was up on crutches same day as the op. Did feel tired and a bit under the weather at times first 3-4 weeks but could do everything bar put a sock on ! Professor Field never rushed me in appointments and always tried to explain everything in details , I would definitely recommend him and his team .
