I had high tibial osteotomy knee surgery performed by Mr Amit Shah at the Spire Hospital Blackpool in May 2023, Mr Shah is a brilliant surgeon and the procedure has been a huge success for me, and it has prevented me having a full knee replacement. One year on I am now walking around 12/15 K a day with my dog, previously it would have only been around 3K and then the pain would get to much for me, I would encourage anyone who is offered this as an alternative to a new Knee to go for it, the future benefits are well worth it 👍.

He actually came into the hospital, when not on duty, after being emailed my x-rays and seeing I needed emergency treatment. I don’t know anyone who would do that. I can’t recommend him highly enough. My hand now is so much better than other peoples who had lesser breaks. He has done a marvellous job.

From my first consultation, right through to my review after the operation Mr Shah was brilliant. He was a professional, knowledgeable and put me at ease right away. My hip operation was very successful, Mr Shah did a very good job on me and after committing myself to my physio, I was very quickly mobile and pain free. All staff at Spire were amazing. I am very grateful for the care I received.
