From the start Professor Malik was professional and knowledgeable. Any questions I had leading up to and after the surgery were answered. I've had a benign tumour on the parotid gland in my neck for years and wanted to get the best possible resolution for it; whilst there existed a risk of permanent damage to the facial nerve from the surgery, I nevertheless felt that the tumour needed to be removed due to the growing risk, however small, of developing a malignancy as the years went by. Following a considerable amount of research, based on his credentials and the testimonials of his previous patients, Mr Aakshay Gulati was the maxillofacial surgeon I wished to treat it. Having now gone through the surgery three months ago, I am exceedingly pleased with both the outcome and the standard of care I received from him and his team, as well as his competence and professionalism. He was able to remove the tumour in the least invasive way, with no damage to the facial nerve, loss of facial mobility or function, or any other significant adverse effects.
