Took care to explain procedure and talk through options and concerns

I came to Dr Bownes for a second opinion on two MRIs of my knee. He did not provide a clear response to whether my ACL was damaged despite repeatedly asking him, and he did not seem worried my knee pain was left undiagnosed. I did not feel my concerns were heard during or after the meeting, or that he looked at the MRIs carefully, and he seemed to have made up his mind before looking at them. Dr. Bownes did not seem very interested in my case.

Just mouse listened to what I had to say and between us came to a mutually agreed way forward. Is a credit to the hospital and himself and demonstrates how all interactions of this nature should be carried out .5 stars all the way!

Genuinely the most helpful medical professional that I have dealt with for many years. Following 3 failed surgical procedures elsewhere, Mr Goyal knew my full medical history and immediately advised exactly what surgery was now required to rectify the problems. Not only was the explanation of this straightforward, but the explanation as to why the previous surgeries had failed gave full insight to my current symptoms. Thankful to have a surgical option which does not involve amputation.
