Dr. Arif Hussenbux is a highly skilled Consultant Gastroenterologist based in Buckinghamshire, practising at Wycombe, Amersham, and Stoke Mandeville (Aylesbury) Hospitals. Dr. Hussenbux performs advanced procedures such as gastroscopy (examination of the stomach), colonoscopy (examination of the colon), polypectomy (removal of polyps), endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), and ERCP (bile duct endoscopy). He is also experienced in stent insertion and stricture dilatation.

Dr. Hussenbux further honed his skills with an advanced fellowship in hepato-pancreato-biliary medicine at St. James’s University Hospital, Leeds.
Dr. Hussenbux specialises in general gastroenterology with a focus on liver, biliary, and pancreatic diseases, offering both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic care.
Dr Hussenbux is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, where he leads the HPB service. He played a key role in enhancing patient care by introducing Endoscopic Ultrasound, a ground-breaking service for the hospital. Passionate about medical education, Dr Hussenbux is also a dedicated member of the Oxford Upper Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Training Faculty.

I was advised to speak to Dr. Arif regarding some abdominal pains I had experienced for around 10months. A number of visits to the GP during this time had not been able to pinpoint the issue. During my consultation, Dr. Arif was able to identify a couple of potential causes and refer me to the relevant testing. Within a matter of days I had a clear diagnosis and prescribed course of medication to help me recover. I felt confident and respected, being able share information and ask questions without judgement or embarasment. Dr. Arif was also able to advise me regarding my medication and recovery.
I was not looking forward to the colonoscopy but the whole experience was very dignified & painless.
Very good advice. Have taken all onboard and will see the outcome over the next few weeks.
DR Hussenbux is very calm and caring, he really knows his stuff, he put me at ease with the procedures I needed to have and I felt he genuinely cared about my health and I would highly recommend him.
