About Miss Ayeshah Abdul-Hamid
Miss Ayeshah Abdul-Hamid is a Consultant ENT Surgeon who qualified in Medicine from Keele University in 2012. She completed her higher specialist ENT training at centres across London, Oxford and the Thames Valley. In 2023, she undertook the Oxford Otology Fellowship, gaining additional experience in the management of complex otological conditions.
Her clinical practice covers the full scope of general ENT for both adults and children. She has particular expertise in ear and hearing disorders, dizziness and balance conditions, sinus and nasal disease, snoring, voice disorders and swallowing difficulties. She runs specialist balance and voice clinics at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, providing detailed assessment and management for patients with complex vestibular and voice-related conditions.
Miss Abdul-Hamid is a Lecturer in Medicine at the University of Oxford and is actively involved in ENT research and quality improvement. She has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, including contributions to an internationally used textbook and several book chapters, and has presented her work at national and international conferences. She has received academic and clinical awards in recognition of this work.
She previously served as Clinical Lead for ENT at the John Radcliffe Hospital, where she led and contributed to a number of clinical audits and service improvement projects within the department. Her academic, clinical and leadership roles support the delivery of evidence-based ENT care informed by current research and clinical standards.

I attended the appointment with my mother and Miss Abdul-Hamid made us feel very welcome and comfortable from the moment we arrived. She was patient and accommodating, particularly as my mother was finding it hard to explain her symptoms. Miss Abdul-Hamid carried out a very thorough assessment and explained each step of the process clearly. She was able to identify balance issues related to Parkinson’s disease, which led to a referral and a prompt diagnosis. She delivered this difficult information with great kindness and sensitivity and was incredibly supportive at what was a difficult time for our family. We are extremely grateful for her care and help.
