Qualifications
After graduating from Oxford University Medical School, he undertook general surgical training in Oxford and London, before orthopaedic training on the Guys & St. Thomas' rotation. He completed speciality paediatric orthopaedic fellowship training at The Royal London Hospital, and then in Starship Children's Hospital, Auckland. He was appointed as a substantive consultant in Paediatric Orthopaedics at Evelina Childrens' Hospital in 2017, and has been Head of Service since 2020.
Mr Reed has an MSc in Trauma & Orthopaedic sciences, and has active research interests in paediatric musculoskeletal infection and orthopaedic care of children with cerebral palsy. He is a member of the British Society for Children's Orthopaedic Surgeons (BSCOS), the British Society for Surgery in Cerebral Palsy, and the British Orthopaedic Association, and is a Fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons (England).

My son needs a second opinion from a specialist regarding his shoulder dislocation and Dr Reed was very thorough with his explanation and genuinely caring about his further treatment and has referred my son to see other specialists

Couldn’t ask for a better consultant! Our little one has been under his care for the past year, and he’s taken a measured and methodical approach every step of the way, keeping us informed across all the detail in a very clear manner. Absolutely outstanding.
