Dr Elliot Smith

Dr Smith was very thorough and explained to me In layman's terms what he believed was wrong.He put my mind at ease,and prescribed medication to help.

Elliot Smith inspires confidence and exudes competence from the instant one meets him. What makes him rather special though, is his warm, approachable manner and the fact that he takes the time to listen to his patients before providing a well- reasoned opinion on which he bases his recommended course of action in simple, straight-forward terms. His leadership skills did much to quell my anxiety on the day of my procedure, when he calmly took charge of the operating environment and made me feel that by choosing the team at Barts, I had the best hands caring for me. His interaction with his colleagues was also noteworthy, speaking not only of an excellent doctor, but of a truly decent human being. Debbie has to be one of the most efficient PAs I have ever encountered. She made the arrangements seem effortless and dealt with all my queries in double-time and is a real asset to this cardiology practice.

Dr Elliot Smith was fantastic. From the moment I saw him he put me at ease and was very thorough with all his examinations. He is very knowledgeable and took all the time to explain in detail what the next steps were and how we will proceed.

I have never come across a Doctor like Dr Elliot Smith that has a way of removing someones doubts and fears by providing a clear explanation with such a calming and reassuring personality and professionalism.

Clear explanations. Consultations not rushed. Procedures though complex performed with minimal discomfort to myself in pre and post op situations. Dr E Smith gave me tremendous confidence in accepting the procedures. Fully trust his competence and abilities.

Dr. Elliot Smith was exceptionally friendly and empathetic when discussing my test results. He took the time to explain everything clearly, making sure I understood each detail without feeling rushed. His approachable manner, combined with his professionalism, immediately put me at ease. I felt genuinely listened to and supported throughout the consultation, and his confident yet compassionate delivery instilled a strong sense of trust in his medical expertise

I would make 2 organisational / admin criticisms; 1. One Welbeck Heart Health invites patients to send relevant records to bookings.hearthealth@onewelbeck.com, (I had already sent some in to his private secretary Debbie), but it transpires records sent to Dr Smith at the "bookings etc" address don't reach him so he had to go out and retrieve the relevant record manually, at our appointment. This invitation needs amending / abandoning. 2. Following the consultation, I was contacted x2 by phone and email by One Welbeck Heart Health team to arrange a follow-up appointment, when this was not needed. So obviously a break in communication there somewhere. I have no criticisms of Dr Smith's clinical care.
