About Mr Iain Anderson
Mr Anderson is a Consultant plastic surgeon in the North
East. His NHS work is based in the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
His NHS practice specialises in; complex reconstructive surgery of all areas of
the body. This includes; skin cancer and malignant soft tissue tumours
(sarcoma), management of complex wounds following significant trauma and
reconstructive microsurgery.
He completed the nationally appointed plastic surgical
training programme in the North East and was subsequently awarded a fellowship
in microvascular reconstructive surgery in Glasgow. He has published in high
quality peer reviewed journals and has multiple national and international
presentations.
He is passionate about teaching and training and is
currently the educational lead for plastic surgery training in Newcastle upon
Tyne, as well as being appointed to national plastic surgery training committees
prior to becoming a consultant.
In 2023, he was awarded the Niall Kirkpatrick BAAPS/BAPRAS
annual cosmetic surgery fellowship, where he underwent higher training and
mentorship from international experts in all areas of cosmetic plastic surgery.
He is a full member of the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive
and Aesthetic surgeons (BAPRAS), the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons
(BAAPS) and is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh.
He offers the following procedures;
· cosmetic facial plastic surgery (upper and lower
eyelid blepharoplasty, prominent ear correction)
· breast surgery (augmentation, uplift, breast reduction,
nipple correction)
· body contouring (arm lift, thigh lift,
abdominoplasty, liposuction)

· skin lesions/lumps and bumps
· non-surgical treatments (BOTOX/fillers)

What a fantastic experience from the moment I walked in to the moment I left – I was genuinely impressed throughout. During the procedure, the surgeon kept me fully informed throughout, explaining each stage clearly which made it a very positive experience. I would not hesitate to recommend this clinic, and especially the surgeon Iain, who was absolutely fantastic.
