Mr James Barnes is a Consultant Transplant, Vascular Access, and Endocrine Surgeon currently seeing private patients at The Harborne Hospital and The Priory Hospital. He earned his medical degree from Warwick University Medical School in 2007 and completed his surgical training in the West Midlands Deanery. Mr Barnes furthered his expertise with three years of clinical training at the Oxford Transplant Centre, focusing on transplantation, for which he was awarded a DPhil from the University of Oxford. 

Following his surgical training, Mr Barnes served as a Consultant at QEH in Birmingham before assuming his current position at UHCW in 2021.

His special interests include renal transplantation, complex vascular access, and endocrine surgery. With a dedication to excellence in patient care, he brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his practice, ensuring the highest standard of surgical care for his patients.
