Mrs Studnicka-Perkin graduated from medical school in Poland in 2005 and subsequently obtained the majority of her postgraduate experience and qualifications in the United Kingdom, where she currently works as a substantive Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery.
She completed her Foundation Training in East Anglia followed by Core Surgical Training and Specialist Training in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery within renowned Mersey Deanery, where she was awarded the Klennerman’s Golden Medal in recognition of her outstanding achievements.
In 2021, Mrs Studnicka-Perkin became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England after successfully passing the FRCS Orth examination. That same year, she completed the European Board of Orthopaedics and Trauma Examination and was admitted as a Fellow of the Sport and Exercise Medicine College.
She undertook an Upper Limb Fellowship at Wrightington Hospital, a world-renowned centre of excellence for elective orthopaedic surgery. Since 2023, Mrs Studnicka-Perkin started a substantive Consultant post at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, West Sector. At Ysbyty Gwynedd, she manages patients with injuries to limbs and spine, while at Llandudno General Hospital, she provides care for patients with chronic hand and wrist conditions. She also co-ordinates resident doctors’ training working as an Educational Lead.
Her private practice spans North Wales—including Pennant Private Medical Services in Caernarfon and Spire Abergele—and England, with clinics at The Grange Clinic in Chester and Genesis Clinic in Liverpool.
Mrs Studnicka-Perkin is a strong advocate for modern, patient-centred surgical techniques, particularly WALANT (Wide Awake Local Anaesthesia No Tourniquet), which enables patients to undergo hand and wrist surgery comfortably without general anaesthesia. She is also developing expertise in ultrasound-guided procedures and sonosurgery, focusing on minimally invasive interventions that promote faster recovery and enhanced patient comfort.
In addition, she holds a prestigious MSc in Orthopaedic Engineering from Cardiff University, teaches as an Advanced Life and Trauma Support Instructor at the Royal College of England, and is actively involved in medico-legal work, providing expert witness reports for personal injuries.
Outside of her professional commitments, Mrs Studnicka-Perkin enjoys spending time with her family, dog and friends travelling. She is passionate about outdoor activities, particularly in mountainous environments, and holds an international Diploma in Mountain Medicine, earned in Nepal and working as an Expedition Medic. Her hobbies include mountain biking, skiing, trail running, and strength training.

I was given all the information I needed and found it all very easy to understand
My experience at Spire was excellent, my consultant and surgeon Mrs Studnicka-Perkin was wonderful, I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone, a big thank you to all the team🙂
I am very happy with my experience apart from the lack of parking but I do know this is worse at the moment due to the works currently taking place.
Very pleasant surroundings and all the staff very friendly and helpful, explaining the procedures. Mrs Katarzyna Studnicka-Perkin is welcoming and personable but with a professional attitude. Explained all options clearly and identified costs which is often skipped over in these situations. I would have no hesitation in recommending her and if necessary using her services in the future myself.
Really personable consultant that explained to me clearly what the options short term were going forward. Managed to give me some pain relief on the day so that was a big positive from not expecting anything from the appointment. Looking forward to the next consultation and considering my options going forward long term.
Appointment was 1.30pm and I was seen by the doctor at 1.35pm no waiting around was told my options going forward
Mrs Studnick-Perking was lovely. Kind and gentle wjen examining my hand and talking about the procedure. Thank you for being so kind and explaining everything in a way that I understood
Absolutely brilliant , thankyou so much to you and your team 👏👏👏
Kasia explained what had been done and that the shortage of anaesthetists at YG qualified to carryout Nerve Blocks being the reason the operation was conducted und general anesthetic opposed to me being awake for the operation. I was subsequently discharged as I no longer need treatment.
Bright and intelligent surgeon.
