Mr Liew explained everything in a clear manner. He answered all questions in full so I understood both the procedure and what to expect on the day and afterwards. He was also able to give me a confirmed date for my operation (I was offered the choice of three dates). All in all very happy with my meeting with him.

I am blown away with the difference between today's experience and what I've been suffering for the past three months of fighting to get seen and listened to by the NHS. Mr Liew was knowledgeable, calming and confident and has given me hope that my issue can be successfully treated within a reasonable time frame. I'm very grateful to him for seeing me today.

Mr Liew instilled confidence from the outset. He explained the HoLEP procedure together with timescales, the recovery stages and intended outcomes in clear & simple terminology. Mr Matthew Liew is one of the few urologist surgeons practicing the En Bloc Laser Resection for bladder cancer. This procedure is less invasive with quicker recovery time and taking out the tumour whole so more accurate for pathology. As an older patient this procedure is more welcome and safer for me than the gold standard TURBT used in most hospitals .

The minor surgical procedure I had today, to improve urinary flow following earlier HoLEP surgery, was done by Mr Liew efficiently and without discomfort. I am grateful to him for wanting a completely successful outcome. Mr Liew and all the staff I encountered were extremely kind and attentive.
