Miss Muirhead-Allwood performed a double hip resurfacing on me in November 2020 at the Princess Grace Hospital. The results of the surgery exceeded my wildest expectations. I am 59 years old and had led a very active life resulting in moderate to severe degeneration of both hips. Following the surgery the pain in my hips immediately disappeared. My recovery time was very short. I was back walking unaided within one month and three months on I am moving with a freedom I have not felt in 20 years. I just received the all clear to resume running, surfing and snowboarding within a couple of months. In short, the surgery was life changing and Miss Sarah Muirhead-Allwood worked wonders. Her reputation as the pre-eminent hip surgeon in the country is clearly justified. This includes sensitivity and care with which she conducted the pre- and post- operation consultations and the skill with which she operated. Not only that, the entire staff of the London Hip Unit and the Princess Grace Hospital deserve praise. They provided the highest standards of care during an extremely difficult period around the height of the Covid pandemic. In my opinion, Miss Muirhead-Allwood and her team are simply the best and I will be forever grateful for their work.
