Dr Khaled Afifi is a Consultant Gynaecologist, with extensive experience. After graduation in 1986, he completed post-graduate training in the UK, Germany and Egypt. He completed the Advanced Training Skills Module in Urogynaecology and benign vaginal surgery. He is currently an NHS consultant at Wolverhampton's New Cross Hospital and he also sees private patients.

Dr Afifi has a special interest in infertility issues and has been a consultant at the London Fertility Centre, where he gained training in all aspects of fertility management with Professor Ian Craft. He has further special interest in early pregnancy problems, including recurrent miscarriage, which was the topic for his MSc thesis.

He is also highly experienced in helping patients with pelvic pain, endometriosis, menstrual disorders and menopause problems and has expertise in gynaecological ultrasound. Dr Afifi has obtained the Advanced Training Skills Module in Laparoscopic Surgery and provides treatment for endometriosis, adhesions, ovarian cysts and other benign gynaecological conditions. He is an associate member of the British Society of Urogynaecology and International Urogynaecology Association. He has researched published on many aspects of gynaecology, including writing several textbook chapters and he appears as an expert speaker at many international conferences.
