I met Consultant Mark Phillips as I was suffering from a benign tumour on my finger. He was friendly and professional and I felt more at ease when he explained that many members of orchestras chose him to work upon their hands. I had the operation under local anaesthetic which I preferred, only an hour procedure and I went home by tube. Now, in two months+ time the stitching is almost imperceptible, the best! I do recommend Mr Mark

Dr Mark put me at ease from my very first consultation with him, following a broken finger. It had been a long road to finding him and, through the tenolysis he performed, he has helped to improve my finger so that I can play my violin professionally again. He kept me really well informed at all times and communicated with my excellent hand therapist too. Thank you Dr Mark for all your help. I am forever grateful.

The whole experience was absolutely excellent. Dr Phillips described everything with clarity, explaining the options and outcomes. It was the first time I have ever listened to music during a procedure and I really enjoyed it. I thought the whole experience was amazing!

My experience in the care of Mr Phillips was excellent. Particularly as someone whose primary hobbies involve strenuous use of my hands - handbalancing, acrobatics and bouldering - my recent hand injury was having a huge impact on my quality of life as well as limiting my daily functioning. Yet I was also worried about the risks associated with any invasive interventions. Mr Phillips supported me with excellent diagnosis and explanation, and his clinical judgement on the best course of action was spot on - 3 months later I’m completely pain free and have been able to return to all my sports. I am extremely grateful!
