Mr Murthy obtained Diploma in Orthopaedics in 1987 from the University of Madras, He was awarded FRCS in 1989, Masters degree in Orthopaedics from Liverpool University and Intercollegiate Fellowship in Orthopaedic Surgery in 1999. He completed Senior Registrar training in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Cappagh National Orthopaedic Hospital in Dublin, gaining extensive experience in hip and knee replacement, He had further training in knee reconstruction and replacement in the Professorial unit at the Southampton University Hospital,
His Sports Fellowship Training in shoulder and knee injuries for 18 months was at the prestigious Royal Devon and Exeter Hospitals. He had the privilege of undergoing training in Shoulder & Elbow surgery under the guidance of two Past Presidents of British Elbow and Shoulder Society.

Mr Murthy explained clearly the surgery I had

Mr.Murthy is a very skilled and talented man. But even more than that he is very polite and friendly. He explains everything well, which is very reassuring. I cannot fault him and would certainly recommend him to anyone.

From my first meeting with Mr Murthy I was confident I’d see results. He explained everything to me and used all methods at his disposal without running straight to the surgery path. Was very patient and more than happy for me to return if needed.

I found Mr Sathya very professional, he was thorough in going into detail about my injury and then operation, he completely put my mind at ease, such a lovely man. I’m very grateful to him for giving me the opportunity to look forward to the future with no pain.

Mr Murthy was very accommodating and friendly, he made me feel at ease. Mr Murthy could see immediately my shoulder was out and sent me for an X Ray to confirm his suspicions he checked his schedule and managed to fit me in with in a week to do a reverse shoulder replacement as I thought I would be waiting a long time I was very pleased.

Mr Murthy has a very calming manner, which puts you at ease straight away. Everything was explained as to why I needed my surgery, from admission to my recuperation.

Mr Murthy has been professional, kind and has explained everything to do with my shoulder resurfacing. He has answered all my queries and I would definitely recommend him. I have arthritis in my other shoulder too so if the need arises for another surgery then I hope he is my consultant. Thank you very much for the mobility and lack of arthritic pain now x
