Mr Rehmatullah is a highly experienced and dedicated Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in Knee Surgery sub-specialising in Sports Knee Reconstruction and Joint Replacement Surgery. He takes immense pride in being able to keep people pain free and active as long as possible with a range of specialised treatments and operations.

In 2023 he was appointed as the Welsh National Clinical Lead for Knee Surgery. This role ensures that he is able to offer the most up to date and safe treatment to all of his patients.

He is the Knee Surgeon for Warrington Town Football Club. He accepted this position after being recommmeded to the owner and his medical team, a role that he has immense pride in.

He consistently receives positive feedback from patients, relatives and staff complimenting him on his patient interaction, his surgical outcomes and his ability to explain diagnoses, outcomes and treatment plans in a manner that everyone can understand.

He was born in England and educated in Cambridge. After completing his BSc in Physiology and Pharmacology with Honours he went on to study medicine at the first ever exclusively UK Graduate Entry Medical School at Warwick University. He undertook his basic surgical training in the Cambridge Deanery and his specialist orthopaedic training in the Mersey Deanery. He then completed two sub-specialist sports knee reconstruction & knee arthroplasty fellowships, as mentioned above.

He maintains good links with Oswestry and attends their monthly Complex Sports Knee Clinics. He participates in the monthly National Knee Cartilage Meeting. These both allow him to discuss the most complex cases with a forum of National Knee Experts to ensure that he offers his patients the best possible treatment.

He has published papers on sports knee surgery and other areas of orthopaedics. He is an examiner on the Wrightington Trauma and Orthopaedic Revision FRCS Course for upcoming consultants.

Outside of medicine he has always been a very keen sportsman competing In rugby, cricket, football, swimming and athletics. He competed around the world in the javelin event. He was coached by ex-world record holder Fatima Whitbread and competed against the current mens World Record Holder Jan Zelezny in South Africa.

He still keeps himself fit by going to the gym and cycling over 100km every week. He is a passionate golfer and plays as often as life allows at his local golf club in Warrington. He has two amazing young children whom he adores.
