Dr Noland Naidoo

Professional career

Dr Noland Naidoo is an internationally respected dentist and educator with almost two decades of experience in Prosthodontics and Endodontics. At Vermilion, he focuses on Prosthodontics at our Edinburgh clinic and Endodontics at our Kelso clinic.

After completing his specialist training in Prosthodontics at the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa, he co-owned a Private Prosthodontic Practice in Johannesburg while also teaching undergraduate and postgraduate prosthodontics in the Department of Oral Rehabilitation at the University of Witwatersrand. His commitment to education is evident in his contributions to both university and private education courses. 

Dr Naidoo is an active member of several prestigious professional organizations, including the American Prosthodontic Society, the International College of Prosthodontists and the European Prosthodontic Association. He also serves as a board member of the Future Leaders in Prosthodontics. His dedication to the field has been recognized with numerous accolades, including a Certificate of Achievement from the South African Military Health Services and two Service Excellence Awards from the South African Dental Association. In 2022, he was honored as an International Team of Implantologist (ITI) Fellow. 

Dr Naidoo's professional interests include digital technologies in dentistry, managing tooth wear and improving biomaterials to enhance patient outcomes. At Vermilion clinics in Edinburgh and Kelso, he continues to pursue his passion for education and innovation in prosthodontics and endodontics, striving to improve the quality of life for his patients. 

Academic career

Dr Noland Naidoo graduated as a Dentist from the University of the Western Cape in 2006. He built a strong foundation in Implant Dentistry by then completing a 2-year Postgraduate Diploma in Implantology. His commitment to excellence led him to obtain certifications in Advanced Endodontics from the Implant & Aesthetic Academy of South Africa in 2010 and a Master Course in Esthetic Implant Dentistry from the ZMK School of Dental Medicine in Bern in 2011. He further specialized by earning his MDent (Pros) from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg in 2016. 

Dr Naidoo is dedicated to sharing knowledge and has held leadership roles as director of the ITI Johannesburg Study Club and the Sandton Interdisciplinary Study Club. He has actively engaged in dental education in South Africa and the United Kingdom. Dr. Naidoo has presented his research and delivered lectures at national and international conferences, advancing dental science and clinical practice. He has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and also serves as a journal peer reviewer.
