I had a very positive experience with Dr Wisam Alwan and would highly recommend him. From the moment the consultation began, he was professional, attentive, and clearly very knowledgeable. He took the time to properly examine my condition and, importantly, listened carefully to everything I had to say without rushing me. I had prepared a written summary as I sometimes find it difficult to explain everything, and he took it seriously and went through it thoughtfully. What stood out most to me was that he looked at the bigger picture. Rather than just focusing on the skin symptoms, he picked up on my joint issues and immediately recommended further assessment for possible psoriatic arthritis, which I really appreciated. It gave me confidence that he was thinking long-term about my health, not just short-term treatment. He explained the treatment options clearly, including creams, phototherapy, and more advanced therapies if needed, and ensured I left with a clear plan in place. Overall, I felt that he genuinely cared, was thorough, and knew exactly how to approach my situation. He is by far the best dermatologist I have been in contact with. It was a very reassuring experience and a big step forward for me after struggling with this condition for a long time.

My recent visit was a follow up appointment. The prescription that Dr. Alwan has given me has helped me massively in getting better. Other doctors tried in the past, but the only one able to find the cure has been Dr. Alwan. He is the best dermatology that I have ever met.

Dr.Alwan was welcoming, professional and the overall experience was great. All of my questions were answered and I didn’t feel rushed during the consultation.

Dr Alwan provided a very comprehensive assessment of my current condition based on specific appropriate questioning re my symptoms. He also undertook an examination of my skin in a variety of areas to assist his diagnosis. He listened to my concerns and was very supportive and understanding in his approach. A lovely Dr who understood my pain and for the first time I actually felt “heard”. I would highly recommend anyone with a severe skin problem to seek his advice.
