The overall experience from start to finish was fantastic, the calm manner everything was explained in, to the day of the eye surgery and the surgery itself went smoothly. However on completion of all the procedures it was at the point of payment where there an issue, the fee had been emailed correctly which reflected the invoice, however the team taking the payment were adamant the price had changed, this was resolved but looked very unprofessional, the payment system needs to be reviewed. The Practice Manager was not at fault here all communication made from start to finish was clear.

HCA ancillary staff were excellent and friendly, putting me at ease. The one exception is that despite being fully covered by private medical insurance (incl pre-authorisation codes and competing multiple online forms and confirming details) the HCA administrative/ reception staff on arrival were overly focused on (and their primary priority is to) obtain credit card details and associated authorisation for extra procedures and tests which go beyond the scope of the referral and pre-authorisation in case suggested. The requested authorisation is open-ended and requested at a point when patients are vulnerable. The HCA admin staff were unable to explain why authorisation was required in my circumstances with full insurance coverage - all they could manage was a weak “it’s just our process”.

This is the second operation I have had with Prof Imam and could not be happier. Exceptional! My physiotherapist in France told me you should congratulate your surgeon for the great work. Can not recommend more!

The team at the London hospital were all very welcoming and made me feel completely at ease prior to my surgery. They guided me fully through the pre-op, operation and post-op processes and were clear and detailed in my treatment plan post op. All areas of the hospital were immaculately clean. The surgery itself was quick, and ran entirely to schedule. Overall thrilled with the experience and the results.

The Weston Eye Hospital is the only hospital in my experience, who gives the feeling that the first priority of the hospital is to treat your problem (and not to make sure I am going to pay)
