Mr Hannan has a really reassuring manner which creates confidence and when having a consultation it is immediately obvious that he knows what he is talking about. I had a minor condition but was worried that it might be something more serious. After an awful experience losing my hearing in my left ear due to a previous failed surgery, and a battle with the NHS to get a cochlear implant, I eventually contacted Joe. This wasn’t easy due to being scared to have any more ear surgery. Joe has understood this and given me all of his attention throughout the process. We didn’t rush in. His care has been amazing. Not just prior to surgery, but also post surgery - keeping in touch. Other surgeons should take a leaf out of his book. I can’t recommend him enough. The day of the surgery he did his best to make me calm. And gave me all the attention I needed. It’s early days on the CI journey and I’ve had some balance issues and need to adjust to the new digital hearing. But I cant recommend him enough.

Mr Ahmed was very calming in explaining what my symptoms could mean and what tests/treatments I can do towards a recovery. His explanations were very clear and I felt reassured by his help. Thank you so much!
