The hospital was easy to find and staff helpful at each stage as I was new to the hospital. It was clean and well signed to move around to the pharmacy and exit

excellent all round

The NHS staffs are professionals and friendly. The staff attend to patient quickly as soon as one arrived. Above all the nurses and the consultants, they are excellent in all their endeavours.

HCA ancillary staff were excellent and friendly, putting me at ease. The one exception is that despite being fully covered by private medical insurance (incl pre-authorisation codes and competing multiple online forms and confirming details) the HCA administrative/ reception staff on arrival were overly focused on (and their primary priority is to) obtain credit card details and associated authorisation for extra procedures and tests which go beyond the scope of the referral and pre-authorisation in case suggested. The requested authorisation is open-ended and requested at a point when patients are vulnerable. The HCA admin staff were unable to explain why authorisation was required in my circumstances with full insurance coverage - all they could manage was a weak “it’s just our process”.

staff were also wonderful, providing excellent support and ensuring that my experience was as positive as possible. The entire team made me feel like I was in the best hands, and I am incredibly grateful for their kindness and professionalism.
