Dr Dana Shor

My telephone conversation with Dr Shor, went really well. Dr Shor always listens and answers my questions each time we meet. She excellently includes my husband in meetings when necessary. She has a great working relationship with the specialist nurses on clinic 12. I am reassured that she is providing me with the best treatment and care. I am very grateful for her support.

On the occasions I have had the pleasure of having a consultation with Dr. Shor I have always felt comfortable in her presence. Every aspect of my condition was explained clearly and concisely Her enthusiasm to impart good news was genuine and infectious. I’m sure she would be just as good at telling bad news Her knowledge is excellent and I consider myself very fortunate to have such a superb doctor who I trust implicitly.

My recent consultation experience was very pleasant. Dr. Shor welcomed us (my husband and me) warmly. She listened to us very attentively and responded with useful information and objective assessment regarding the future trajectory of my condition. We feel that Dr. Shor recognises that the patient’s voice is paramount for good consultation.

Dana has been amazing, explaining everything to us, making sure the side effects of the treatment were minimal.

My wife and I met in clinic with Dr Shor for a pre chemotherapy appointment and to discuss how my side affects have been since our last meeting. I was able to report that the medication plan that Dr Shor put in place greatly improved matters as a couple of weeks prior a couple of hospital stays were needed, however this was not the case within the last 10 - 14 days following the new medication, I was feeling much better.

10/10 care from all the team at every visit. The chemo team are fantastic, patient and always friendly/up beat. Dr Shor is great, also very friendly and always puts me and my family at ease. She makes sure we feel heard & supported at all times. The team at addenbrookes literally saved my life. Thank you all

Follow-up after MRI Dr Shor is always extremely helpful, very patient and explains everything clearly it is always a pĺeasure to see her

As per all appointments with Dr Shor, she listens, answers any questions that we have. She gives clear and understandable information regarding treatment options. She lets us know if blood test etc are not quite right without worrying us too much. The most important thing is she treats you as a human being not a number, which isn’t always easy knowing how stressed/stretched NHS Oncologists are. My Mum feels so comfortable in appointments and never feels that appointments are rushed. Mum and I feel in complete safe hands and that has a lot to do with time spent talking to Dr Shor during appointments. Thank you
