Dr Anthony Lerman

Throughout the whole process of diagnosis, which involved an endoscopy, colonoscopy and CT colongraphy, Dr Lerman was exceptionally clear about what was involved, what was discovered and what that meant; ie, how I should understand, interpret and act upon the diagnosis and findings. He explains things thoroughly and clearly, with charm and good humour. He was attentive, and sensitive in ensuring that I received information in as clear and reassuring a manner as possible. I'd unreservedly recommend him. And his team deserve a shout out - they are lightening fast in responding and sorting things out.

Dr Lerman went out of his way, many a time to explain exactly what he was going to do, what he had done and the next course of action. On no occasion did he rush my consultation or limit these to the standard ‘15 minutes’ for me and, on one occasion, after a procedure, he rang about late at night and rang me twice to ensure I was not experiencing an adverse reaction to a procedure, that may have required admission. I was pleasantly shocked and impressed at Mr Lerman’s standard of care and attention towards me, and would absolutely recommend him as a 5-star doctor for gastroenterology care.

I found Dr Lerman’s care excellent. He took his time and did a very thorough initial consultation, arranged the appropriate tests and investigations without delay. I wouldn’t hesitate to see him in the future, if needed. His secretary is very responsive and helpful.

It was a pleasure to be attended to by Dr. Lerman. * His testing was thorough: various tests were administered to rule things out when diagnosing my problem. These tests are good anyway to monitor one's health. * Dr. Lerman saved me a great deal of suffering by suggesting a clinic to do OGD (tube down the throat) under a mild anaesthetic so that I wasn't conscious for this painful procedure. It's the only clinic in London that uses anaesthetic. * Huge thank you to Dr. Lerman! When one has health issues, it's comforting to be in such capable hands.
