Outstanding Care from Start to Finish I recently attended the Cleveland Clinic London at Portland Place for a neurology consultation with Mr. Michael Fox, and I can honestly say the experience exceeded every expectation I had. From the moment I arrived, every member of staff was welcoming, professional, and genuinely caring. The clinic itself is immaculate, modern, and creates an incredibly reassuring environment. Meeting Mr. Michael Fox was a real privilege. His depth of knowledge, experience, and expertise was immediately evident. He took the time to listen carefully, explained everything clearly, and made me feel completely involved in my care. For the first time in a long time, I left an appointment with genuine confidence and hope. I have complete trust in Mr. Fox and feel incredibly fortunate to be under his care. I would also like to give special recognition to Gianina, the Healthcare Assistant, who was an absolute delight. She was kind, compassionate, professional, and made me feel completely at ease throughout my visit. She is a real credit to the Cleveland Clinic and perfectly represents the exceptional standard of care they provide. Overall, my experience was simply outstanding. The professionalism, compassion, expertise, and attention to detail shown by everyone I encountered were second to none. In my opinion, the Cleveland Clinic sets the benchmark for what healthcare should be. They are truly in a league of their own, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone seeking world-class medical care. I cannot recommend Mr Prionidis highly enough for anyone considering varicose vein surgery. From my very first consultation right through to my post-operative follow-up, he managed every stage of my care with outstanding professionalism, skill, and genuine compassion. At my initial consultation, Mr Prionidis took the time to thoroughly assess both of my legs, clearly explain the procedure, and answer every question I had. He put me completely at ease and gave me the confidence to go ahead with the surgery, knowing I was in expert hands. The surgery itself, to remove varicose veins from both legs, was carried out with great skill and precision. Mr Prionidis and his team ensured I was well informed and comfortable throughout the entire process, and his attention to detail was evident at every step. The aftercare was just as impressive. Was advised by the NHS consultant that I would require a TURP procedure to rectify my diagnosis of enlarged prostate. I met Prof Persad for a private consultation and he advised that Aquablation was a safer procedure, the procedure was undertaken at the Spire hospital in Bristol requiring a 2 day stay in hospital. I had no pain after the procedure which I was advised was successful, initial improvement was evident however my flow did seem that it was still restricted, I was getting some discomfort in my stomach which I believe was due to my bladder not totally emptying fully. 2 weeks after the procedure I passed a large fleshy object which was a shock to stay the least, I had however been passing small objects since leaving hospital. After passing the large object my flow improved beyond all recognition I stopped having discomfort in the stomach. I cannot believe how successful this procedure has been and my quality of life has improved considerably. The quality of care provided by the hospital and Prof Persad and his staff has been exceptional. I would recommend Aquablation to anyone who has been diagnosed with enlarged prostate, its pain free and the outcomes of the procedure have exceeded my expectations

I am very grateful to Mr Tsialogiannis for my recent hip replacement operation. I had suffered from nerve pain in my leg for 6 years, with rapid deterioration in my hip the last 5 months to the point where I did not have an effective joint and was feeling very unwell. I had an operation for cancer last year, and the prospect of further surgery so soon after was daunting. Mr Tsialogiannis was very reassuring and showed empathy and understanding. He explained fully what the operation involved and how I would be impacted during my recovery. He answered my many questions too. During the operation he straightened out my body; one leg had become shorter than the other with the deterioration of the hip. I am amazed how rapidly I am recovering from the operation and already experiencing again the joy of walking. The jabbing nerve pain in my leg whenever I walked has gone, replaced by more generalised nerve pain which is diminishing as my body recovers. It looks as though my dreams of resuming long walks in the country will be realised, thanks to the expertise of Mr Tsialogiannis.

I recently attended Harpenden Medical Clinic for a Mirena coil fitting and, although I was extremely nervous beforehand, I felt very well looked after throughout. Dr Liz Njire was professional, calm and reassuring, taking the time to explain everything clearly and making sure I understood what was happening at each stage. She discussed pain relief options with me and used local anaesthetic spray as well as Entonox during the procedure. A very special mention also has to go to Helen, who was incredibly caring and attentive. She stayed focused on how I was feeling throughout, checked in with me constantly and genuinely made a very stressful experience feel much more manageable. The procedure itself was certainly not something I had been looking forward to, but the care, compassion and professionalism from the team made a huge difference. I’m very grateful for how well I was supported and would happily recommend Harpenden Medical Clinic for women’s health care.

One night nurse was taciturn. When he told me I had a high blood pressure I asked if this was okay? He said "No" and left the room making me feel concerned. Otherwise the staff were all very friendly; if sometimes hard to understand their accents. Only disappointment was the food. It is very limited and repetitive. I understand hot options are more expensive but offering more adventurous salads and ingredients would improve your service. I was told breakfast is served at 8h00. My breakfast arrived around 8h30! Given I was the only patient the night staff were very slow responding when I rang for assistance and even slower delivering any drugs. I was due to have codine at 4h00. No one came. I was in much pain so rang to request the drug at 4h08; it took ages to arrive! Although cheerful when the nurses arrived I sensed I was a nuisance and distracting them from something else?

As I mentioned with Mr Jain it was a good experience. I found him to be extremely professional and informative, the majority of the staff that dealt with me were very helpful. The only change I would make is the experience of communication both with understanding when my operation would be (at times it felt like I was chasing updates and wasn't sure when my surgery would be for quite a long time) as well as commutation regarding aftercare. When I left the hospital no one had informed me on how to look after my wound and dressing. I also wasn't given the full course of medication which meant I had to source it myself which was a struggle. Outside of this I believe I had a good experience and all the people I interacted with were lovely, approachable and informative. I am glad I was treated here. Thank you all so much.

My experience of having a total hip replacement operation at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital as a private patient. I can say after meeting Mr Hussain and his team and he explained the procedure to me. I was convinced I have made the right choice choosing him to be my surgeon for my total hip replacement . He was very calm and reassuring that he could fixed my problem. I have my left hip operated on the 2nd June 2026 by Mr Hussain , the surgery went very well and I have seen him for my six weeks follow-up appointment and I am pleased to say I am walking straight I have regained my height as prior to this I was walking with a limp. I would recommend Mr Hussain any time. I am now on the waiting lists to have my right hip done in the near future. Definitely 10 out of 10.

She was excellent at listening to what had been going on, and really considered the picture as a whole. She was very empathetic but also knowledgeable and able to give us all the evidence based statistics on different treatment options. She included us in the decision making at each stage and helped make a plan that felt individual and right for our son. We found it very helpful to hear why certain next steps were favourable to other treatment options and felt in good hands. She has a wonderful manner with children and we would absolutely recommend her care to any parents seeking ENT advice for their child.

After a missed diagnosis on an NHS MRI scan review with the NHS and lengthy waiting times to even get a US scan to see the damage that had occurred. I went privately via my company insurance cover. Mr Khan went the extra mile to source the MRI imaging and get an US scan to confirm what he realised was extensive damage. He explained what was happening and covered all avenues before reaching the same conclusion as myself that I’d need an operation to determine the extent of my damage. My dentist, Seren Rhian Mirza-Davies, is absolutely wonderful. She is very kind, gentle and softly spoken, which immediately puts me at ease. She always takes the time to explain everything clearly and makes every appointment feel calm and comfortable. Going to the dentist can be daunting, but Seren makes the whole experience genuinely pleasant. I couldn't recommend her and the practice more highly!
