Mr Gordon treated me a few years ago and this time round, i requested him again as i remember him to be a really helpful, insightful and straightforward consultant who really seemed to care and want to help with my condition. I still have tests and procedures to go through this time around but can already see with some of his help advice that i made the right choice again

Mr Shahzad was very welcoming on the first consultation meeting. Clearly a highly experienced, knowledgeable and very easily understood consultant who painstakingly took the time to explain the procedure I was undergo and keen to answer any questions no matter how repetitive they may have sounded to him. A very kind and pleasant manner he quickly put me at ease with both a friendly, respectful nature. On the day of the procedure Mr Shahzad was quick during his rounds to allay any sense of pre-op anxiety and during the procedure he was very explanatory throughout maintaining a very encouraging dialogue with me.

My recovery was slower than I had hoped for but totally in line with Ben's commentary. In all 6 months to be close to where I expected and the key fundamentals (strength of stream and far less urge to go) a total success. Thanks Ben, thoroughly professional.

Excellent . Good explanation of procedure and risks . As a general comment I think that more info on post op recovery, wound mgt etc would be useful - to be fair some of this is available online but the surgeons focus is, rightly, on the operation, as is much of the provided information. As a patient the post op period when issues arise - dressings, twinges, exercises etc and some more support mechanisms /info here would be good - not that I think busy consultants like Mr Lockyer need to provide it.
