I was in the Robert and Lisa wing and the staff and service was great, friendly and helpful staff at all levels I felt comfortable and well looked after during my 2 day stay

From the pre-admission screen to the surgery and overnight stay the whole experience it's been increible. I felt supported, reassured and informed at all the times. Staff was warm and friendly and always trying to accommodate my requests. Food was incredible delicious. The room was clean and spacious and had everything I needed to make my stay comfortable. Overall I am very happy I had my surgery Lisa Sainsbury Wing at the Hammersmith hospital and if anyone is about to have a procedure done here I will tell you to go with your eyes closed and let staff take care of everything for you. They are all wonderful.

The surgery team was lovely and I felt well looked after once in theatre and recovery. However, I had to wait for 9h until my surgery, after being asked to be at the hospital at 8am and not to eat or drink from 5am in the morning. I was told the long wait was due to a complication with another surgery appointment before mine, which I do understand. What I didn’t appreciate was that my husband and I had to ask multiple times what was going on and I was either not given any information or ignored. Only Ellen started looking after me after my husband called multiple times. Similarly after I woke up in the recovery area, I had to wait for 45 minutes until I was picked up which also the recovery team did not appreciate. Apart from the surgery itself, my experience on the ward was very poor and I will avoid being admitted to Hammersmith Hospital in the future.

During my six days at the Robert and Lisa Sainsbury Wing I received the VIP treatment. Excellent and professional staff. I was especially impressed by the speed and care doctors and nurses answered my questions/requests. Literally in no time and always getting the right person involved, if needed. I'm beyond grateful to them all

Lovely staff and they go out of their way to make you comfortable

All the staff were lovely however it was the second time I’ve been in to the wing and this was the second time they messed up the tests and they also forgot to give me my lunch.
