About Lerissa Pillay
Lerissa Pillay is a Senior Clinical Audiologist and dual-qualified Speech and Language Therapist. She graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa with a bachelor’s degree in Speech Therapy and Audiology and later completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration with First Class results.
Lerissa has international experience across both public and private sectors, including roles in the NHS and independent practices in the UK. Her professional background includes work at Dr. George Mukhari Academic Hospital in Pretoria, Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, angli-EAR Hearing and Tinnitus Solutions, and most recently, Harley Street Hearing & Musicians’ Hearing Services.
She has a particular interest in hearing and cochlear implants and is experienced in supporting both adults and children, along with their families, in managing hearing and communication challenges.

I saw Lerissa and Matthew from Med El. They were both so patient, when my cochlear implant was switched on yesterday. They took their time and explained things. I left feeling so happy I’d made the correct decision. I trusted them and knew that they were working to make everything easier for me. It was a life changing experience and when I stepped out into a new and very different sounding world, I knew I was going to see, or hear, a world that had been slowly slipping away from me. I am so happy today. I am just so grateful to you. You’ve no idea what a boost it has been to me. Thank you so much.
I just gave it to you 3/4 screens ago. And while I don't have a problem with rating the specialist personally, it is hardy an anonymous opinion survey if you're asking this type of detail! I would remove that word from your explanation!
