Mr Shahzad was very welcoming on the first consultation meeting. Clearly a highly experienced, knowledgeable and very easily understood consultant who painstakingly took the time to explain the procedure I was undergo and keen to answer any questions no matter how repetitive they may have sounded to him. A very kind and pleasant manner he quickly put me at ease with both a friendly, respectful nature. On the day of the procedure Mr Shahzad was quick during his rounds to allay any sense of pre-op anxiety and during the procedure he was very explanatory throughout maintaining a very encouraging dialogue with me.

My experience with the robotic radical prostatectomy was extremely smooth and much less traumatic than I expected. My recovery was rapid, so much so that I won my first golf competition following surgery, aided by a hole-in-one, three weeks after surgery (rather earlier than Wissam advised!). However, I am sure this golfing result cannot be guaranteed for all!
